End-to-end digital transformation
Our work was pioneering for the industry – the first digital-only housing service in the UK. We delivered an end-to-end digital transformation all underpinned by innovative culture change initiatives and a focus on benefits realisation.
The majority of customers now self-serve through digital channels and organisation costs have dramatically decreased. For this, we were awarded eight Digital Excellence Awards.
Strategic review and redesign of transport and education services
Against cost pressures and reducing performance levels, we undertook a review of transport services. Through baselining and forecasting, a new joint organisational structure was designed. New management data underpinned this.
The outcome was a new partnership approach to deliver the most value to residents, the council and the school network.
Operational performance assurance
Following the establishment of a new Operational Performance function, our role was to assure and then accelerate the implementation of this model across the organisation.
This change programme brought in best-practice and a trusted delivery approach that spearheaded culture change across all functions.

James leads our Government and Public Services sector. He joined Gate One in 2015 after having worked across policy-making and consulting for the last 12 years. Specialising in large scale strategy development and delivery, he has worked in central and local government, third sector organisations and those businesses that provide public services.
Most recently he has been supporting clients in the NHS and local government in achieving their ability to deliver high-quality services more effectively.
Tom has been consulting for 10 years and joined Gate One in 2015. He has worked in a variety of industries, specialising in UK Government and the Public Sector with a focus on policy change and achieving operational outcomes through IT development and delivery.
He is passionate about improving public services and has worked on a variety of projects with the DWP, MoJ, Housing Associations, and with police services in the UK and abroad.
Andy is an experienced consultant with expertise in complex end-to-end business transformation, turning strategies and visions into operational realities.
Andy has focussed on the Public Sector where he is passionate about harnessing new technology and ways of working to better meet the needs of their service users and customers. Andy’s recent experience has been with a big four firm focussing on operating model transformation in the defence and security sector. He has a background in delivering change in central and local government, as well as the charity sector.
