Our client was the HR Director of a global manufacturing firm. Employing nearly 60,000 people across 30 countries, the HR division had grown significantly in recent years and accounted for over 40% of operational income.
Our client was facing a range of people challenges, including: how to adapt to robotics and AI, how to transition their existing workforce to new capabilities and an increasing focus on diversity and wellbeing. Historic acquisition growth had led to a decentralised HR model across the business. We were asked to develop a compelling HR vision and three year roadmap, that could better meet the needs of the organisation’s new growth strategy.
Gate One worked wih the HR team to build a new people strategy that complimented the business’s growth plans. Integral to success was ensuring all team members felt ownership of the agreed priorities adn agreement towards more collaborative ways of working.
We brought insights on the future trends of manufacturing, people strategy and HR to challenge and evolve their strategic focus. Through facilitating leadership workshops, we ensured all voices were heard to create a sense of ownership of the new vision. We provided plans, coaching and a new transformation drumbeat to galvanise the team around key initiatives and build an accelerated momentum.
Ultimately, the HR team built and mobilised a new HR portfolio that is better aligned to their business strategy. The HR Director presented her new roadmap and aligned approach to the CEO and Head of HR, securing buy-in and support.
