Gate One reached a key milestone this week of hiring its 50th colleague – Rosie Wakeling. Gate One, a specialist business transformation consultancy, was also this week unveiled at position #15 in the Startups100, the highest ranking professional services firm for the third year in a row. The firm has enjoyed strong growth since its inception in 2013 and has achieved the milestone of 50th recruit in under three years.
Rosie Wakeling is also Gate One’s first hire at Consultant level, a development for the business that will further promote in-house talent development, increased diversity in the consulting team, and enable greater devolvement of leadership and people development responsibilities to senior members of the team. Rosie joins from Accenture where she gained three and a half years of consulting, delivery and programme experience in both the public and private sectors and has participated in £multi-million global transformation programmes within the Government, Chemicals, Mining and Pharmaceutical industries.
On joining Rosie commented: “Gate One’s innovative and pragmatic approach to transforming their client’s businesses was one of the key drivers in my decision to join. I am extremely excited to be part of a consultancy that truly partners with their clients and values integrity and excellence so clearly. Not only will Gate One offer me fantastic client opportunities, I am delighted to be able to join their Incubator scheme to develop and launch a new business idea.”
To accompany the introduction of the new grade – targeted at consultants with roughly three years’ experience at top tier global consulting firms – the company has developed a structured in-house development programme for all Consultants. This is in addition to the firm’s existing programme of incubator ‘accelerator days’, team events and other training and accreditation opportunities.
Simon Dennis, Director of People and Talent, noted: “Bringing on board our 50th hire is a special milestone for us and the fact that Rosie is also our first Consultant hire makes it even more significant.
“We genuinely believe we offer a unique employee value proposition: harnessing fantastic client work, hands-on business building experience and the opportunity to bring incubator start-ups to market. We think this combination is especially attractive to our new Consultant grade, and we’re excited about bringing a new generation of talent on the journey with us.”
