Our client, a successful Tier 1 repair and maintenance (RM) provider for social housing, wanted to explore a more innovative digital marketplace model for delivering repairs. In the face of emerging digital disruptors in the market who were delivering repairs faster and at lower cost – our client had identified a once in a generation opportunity to make an innovative shift in how their RM services operate.
We designed the vision through a series of interviews across operations, finance, commercial and technology and an accelerator event. This also resulted in the case for change, and high-level service model for the marketplace. We led pre-market engagement with technology vendors to inform functionality and business case costs.
Our investment case and benefit modelling outlined that the marketplace would result in £2m savings from the third year of the full rollout.
