CHALLENGE

Our client was undertaking the acquisition of another major retailer. This required a programme of work to optimise both teams for success including the design of a new commercial operating model, organisation structure and way of working.

APPROACH

We conducted a review of the client’s IT and digital operating model, to move the business from the non-digital world of catalogue shopping, stores and supermarkets into a strong online player with streamlined processes.

The programme included relocation of departments, integration of digital and store commercial teams, and the training and development of several hundred employees.

RESULT

Following our review, we provided the client with a specific set of recommendations for governance, methods, training and collaboration with the wider business to create long-lasting value for both the customers and the company.
