Gate One, the digital and business transformation consultancy, is delighted to announce the appointment of Dr Pamela Walker to lead its life sciences division.
Pamela is a healthcare investment, value creation, and strategic growth specialist focused on delivering impressive outcomes for businesses, their employees and their customers.
Prior to joining Gate One, Pamela spent over seven years with Kin + Carta, latterly as its global head of health. She has a strong track record of building longstanding C-suite relationships, creating profitable business units and driving significant impact for clients across the life sciences space.
Speaking of her appointment, Pamela said: “The two key factors that attracted me to Gate One were the people – who are without exception, smart, kind, interesting and hardworking – and the company’s deep passion for driving growth and expansion in a meaningful way.
“The pharma industry is experiencing significant change. M&A has become an ever-present fixture as a key model for growth,” she said. “Organisations are under pressure to become leaner and more dynamic, with the agility to respond effectively to carve-outs and integrations. To do this successfully, transformations must embody an empathy and creativity that maintains motivation and momentum across the workforce. The best companies understand the value of a positive internal equilibrium to meet the needs and desires of their customers.
“Gate One’s commitment to delivering the best possible outcomes for clients aligns perfectly with helping to address some of these industry challenges,” said Pamela. “I’m looking forward to working with the team to optimise business growth for our clients and create a transformative impact on the lives of their stakeholders.”
Simon Dennis, a founding partner at Gate One, said: “We are beyond thrilled to welcome Pamela to Gate One. It’s been a long search for the right person to help take our life sciences division to the next level and to leverage the opportunities available to us in the market and through our Havas network, including the world-class capabilities of Havas Health & You. Pamela brings a wealth of expertise and pharma market acumen that will help us build on our work in this area and create meaningful change for the businesses we work with.”
Pamela holds both a PhD and an Executive MBA from the University of Oxford. She is a mentor for Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association and Oxford University Innovation. She is also a HealthTech and MedTech investor with Angel Academe.
Pamela will be co-hosting the ‘Inspiring Women in HealthTech – Maximising Funding Opportunities’ event on 17 November. To find out more and register for the event, click here.
